Eagles Peak Ranch is most likely the most aptly named subdivision at Canyon Lake. Sitting high up on the Devil's Backbone Ridge, Eagles Peak offers breathtaking distant views of Canyon Lake to the southwest and the beauty of the Texas Hill Country to the northwest. As you wind your way up through the subdivision you will be reminded of New Mexico or Arizona type of landscape and views. The subdivision was developed in the early 2000s and there are still some lots available from the developer. Lots sizes range from 1/2 acre up to 3 acres. Prices start at $25,000 for 1/2 acre hill view lots that have "issues" like difficult building site or no view, and can run as high as $150,000 for the big water views. The typical lot would be a great hillview or distant waterview for around $80-100,000. For the buyer who is more interested in the distant panoramic vistas, this is your place. Homes range from $250,000 to $500,000 and there are usually 2-3 good homes on the market at any given time.
