The Enclave at Canyon Lake, which is located on the
north side, is the newest development on Canyon Lake.
Lot sales began in April of 2006. This community will
be unlike any other at Canyon Lake in that it will
have it's own airport for property owners to use.
The developer, J. Long Custom Builders, has taken
an absolutely beautiful 184 acre piece of property,
and through meticulous clearing has only made it better.
All the cedar has been removed and there are scores
of attractive oak groves remaining which is extremely
unusual for Canyon Lake. The Enclave consists of 88
1-5 acre lots. 5 waterfront lots, 14 runway lots,
and 24 waterview lots with the remaining lots hillviews.
The terrain is naturally terraced, and road and lot
placement has been very well done to accommodate some
wonderful water and hill views. Amenities will include
a 28 acre waterfront park with 180 degree views of
the lake and an easy access, flat waterfront Also
a community pool, clubhouse, and hike and bike trails.
The airport will not be the only thing unique to the
Enclave. The community will be characterized by an
architectural design style called Texas-Tuscan, a
combination of Texas Hill Country Style with Old World
Tuscan. Common elements of Texas-Tuscan are terracotta
pantiles on the rooftop, terracotta or stone tiles
on the floors, and timber beams.
The exteriors are extremely attractive, and consist
of an old world look of aged plaster on stone character.
Master design guidelines, and a review and approval
process, will assure that all homes within The Enclave
are of this style, and a minimum of 2,800 sq. ft.
In Unit 1 and 2,400 sq. ft. In Unit 2. Lot owners
may choose their own builder and are not required
to build within any time guidelines. As of April 2008,
nearly all the lots have been sold by the developer,
only a few interior lots remain and some of the first
homes are going up. We are starting to see a few lots
come available on the resale market, but it may be
a year or two before there is any real selection available.
